We Want The Funk!
We Want The Funk is a syncopated voyage through the history of funk music, spanning from African, soul, and early jazz roots to its rise into the public consciousness, created by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Stanley Nelson. For We Want The Funk, we set out to encapsulate funk music within our design and animation language.

Vinyl Cover Animations
Throughout the documentary, numerous vinyl covers are shown of funk music that left a long lasting impression on the genre. Together with Casey Drogin, we brought the covers to life using funk's joyful nature.
Main Title Design
Design explorations for the main title mainly focused on finding the right typeface to truly encapsulate the funk feeling. I gathered a lot of my references using fonts in use, which allowed me to get a sense of the kind of typefaces at the time, funk was making its way into the mainstream.
